Charlie’s first novel ‘The Cry of the Lake’ was published in 2020 by Darkstroke and went on to become an Amazon bestseller, also winning The Coffeepot Book Club award for best debut novel (2020).  Since then, she has been working on her next project – a series of crime detective novels set in a fictional village close to Market Harborough.  Charlie is represented by Rufus Purdy from The Two Piers Literary Agency.

 

Charlie studied Theology at Worcester College Oxford and now lives in a Leicestershire village with her husband, three youths and a very spoilt Cavapoo called Otto.  When not at her desk writing, she likes rambling around the local countryside which provides the backdrop to her latest novels.
